CANCELED: Go fly a kite! Mixolo goes out to the Big Baltimore Kite Fest.

Higher and bigger, the second annual kite fest introduced to Baltimore in 2019 is coming around again soon in lockstep with spring. Ready to go outside? Meet us at Patterson Park. If you can't fly, just come enjoy the show and your fellow Mixolo kite enthusiasts for a day in the park.

This is a public event. NO registration is required. Mixolo will not attend.

About The Event

The view up from Patterson Park is a not-to-miss sight when colorful kites brighten the skyscape.  Presented by: Creative Alliance & Friends of Patterson Park The Big Baltimore Kite Festival was founded to "celebrate the broad spectrum of cultures that make up Baltimore! "  Indeed!   

No kite? No problem.  We'll gather around the park's iconic Pagoda where you can make your own kite, chill to the music, participate in the intriguing Will It Fly” competition,  or just come out for a beautiful spring day in the park.

This is a free event, open to the public.   No ticket or registration is required.  Registering with Mixolo helps us coordinate our meeting time and space with your new plus-some.

Bring a blanket or chair.  You're welcome to BYO snacks or take advantage of diverse food vendors participating.

What's included in my registration?

Please register only if you are interested in attending. We'll communicate by email to registrants on updates to our plans for the evening.  Please watch your email closely. 

Our "Mixolo Goes Out" community events are meant to foster connection in our growing network of ready-to-to-solos with no entry fee activities.  Drinks and snacks are self-pay.  New connections, priceless.


You may access limited pay and sometimes restricted residential street parking areas around the park.   Hours vary so pay close attention. Consider public transportation or ride-share options for a worry-free afternoon.

Is this event restricted to Mixolo early adopter members?

No. Mixolo is organizing our members independent of the organizers.  If you'd like to attend with Mixolo for a shared experience, we ask that you register here with Mixolo in mind as a social network that you will consider joining.  We are a network of solo adults pursuing the things we love to do and sharing fun experiences with other like-minded adults.   

When you register for this event, we will ask for basic identifying information that will automatically qualify you as an early adopter member and subscriber.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The minimum age to register for any event with Mixolo is 18,  Mixolo's minimum age for participation. ID will be required when alcoholic beverages are served.  Please be prepared to present your state ID or driver’s license upon request.

Photos may be taken for promotional purposes for our web, social media and marketing materials.  Mixolo is a real-life social network; we want to minimize the use of stock photos and reflect the true essence of our MIxolo community.  Your registration and attendance will imply your willingness to participate and your release of all photos for use in marketing and promotions for Mixolo, Inc.


Our events are now offered in the Mixolo mobile app available on Google Play or Apple iTunes for download. 

The use of MIXCHAT, our messaging platform for connecting with members after you meet at an event is currently available only with purchases that originate in the app.
