Go with Mixolo - Richard & Jane & Dick & Sally

We believe, more often than not, that our family is "dysfunctional" - until we meet other families. Come out for playwright Noah Diaz's frank look at our "perceived archetypes" of parental figures through sibling rivalry. #noplusonerequired, but free to bring your inner child for this dramedy.

About The Event

This one is getting so much buzz and likely Broadway-bound.  You don't have to miss out because you can't convince a plus-one. Mixolo is going to the Saturday matinee performance.  #youcansitwihtus

From the Baltimore Center Stage website: " See Richard go. See Spot bark. See Dick cry. See Sally sign. See Jane struggle after a lifetime in her brother’s shadow. The classic world of “Dick and Jane” is beginning to fracture in this witty and raw look into one dysfunctional and dissembling family."

The Sol Project has teamed up with Baltimore Center Stage and The Playwrights Realm for the co-world premiere of Richard & Jane & Dick & Sally by Noah Diaz.   According to, Playbill, "The new play exposes the gap between the kinds of idealized archetypes we internalize as children and the often painful real-life experiences of adults."

Taylor Reynolds directs this realistic future take on 1950s children’s books (Gray and Sharp).  Dick (now Richard), after a major life shift (can't give it all away!), reunites with his estranged sister, Jane.  The family "dysfunction continues with Richard's son and daughter, Dick and Sally, in this family dramedy.

While there are some strong themes in the play, again, the Baltimore Center Stage deftly selects a play for a diverse audience that informs and unites us through stories of the human experience.  While it may not be suitable for children, feel free to bring your inner child.
