Get off the couch and pick a side already! Ever dreamt of yourself receiving accolades from the Chairman during an episode of Iron Chef? No worries, you will not be in the spotlight on your own. And no plus-one is required. We've got your team. Join Mixolo at [School of] Food Network for "Iron Chef" for the rest of us. We'll form two teams; each will create a full course meal using a secret ingredient, a choice of protein, produce, and other ingredients from School of Foods fresh stocked pantry and now expansive herb gardens.
Teams are judged based on culinary scores such as taste, creativity (use of the secret ingredient) and presentation. To inject a healthy dose of fun into the competition (because we realize some are more competitive than others) and ensure absolutely no inhibitions on your creativity, if Halloween's your thing, feel free to dress up (with kitchen attire safety limitations in mind - detailed in this listing). Cancellation Policy: Cancellations may be made for a full refund up to 7 days before the event. Cancellations within 7 days of this event will be non-refundable due to advance commitments Mixolo will be required to make to our hosts who thoughtfully prepare for your experience.

What's included in my ticket price?
Your ticket grants you entry and full participation and use of the assigned ingredients, kitchen tools and equipment with supervision and instruction by a highly trained chef. Dishes may vary slightly in accordance with the availability of essential ingredients. All participation is voluntary, at your comfort level. Mixolo will enjoy a private event in the facility.
While your food, supplies, and instruction are included in your ticket price, beer and wine are available for sale for those interested. Alcohol beverages that are part of the class instruction will be included in your ticket price.
Is this event restricted to Mixolo members?
Yes, in order to attend and connect with other Mixolo members, we ask that you register here and keep Mixolo in mind as a social network that you will consider joining. We are a network of solo adults pursuing the things we love to do and sharing enriching experiences with other like-minded adults.
School of Food offers a number of exciting cooking classes and professional workshops, including the Iron Chef class, on their website for the general public.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The minimum age for this event is 21. Please be prepared to present ID upon request.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Baltimore Food Hub is located in Broadway East, blocks from the Johns Hopkins campus and Eager Park. The community is home to Humanim at the American Brewery, the Mary Harvin Senior Center, and the Hoen Lithograph Building. The site is minutes from downtown, I-95, I-895, and I-83. It is also well-served by public transportation including Metro rail and multiple bus lines.
There are other addresses attributed to the Food Hub in GPS apps, however, the address we provided is most direct as the gate entrance to the Food Hub is on N. Wolfe Street.
Visitors enjoy free lot parking adjacent to the building.

How will cancellations be handled?
Mixolo will be required to make advance payments for this type of event. Cancellations may be made for a full refund up to 7 days before the event.
Photos may be taken for promotional purposes for our web, social media and marketing materials. Mixolo is a real-life social network; we want to minimize the use of stock photos and reflect the true essence of our MIxolo community. Your registration and attendance will imply your willingness to participate and your release of all photos for use in marketing and promotions for Mixolo, Inc.
ABOUT THE MIXOLO APP:
Our events are now offered in the Mixolo mobile app available on Google Play or Apple Itunes for download.
The use of MIXCHAT, our messaging platform for connecting with members after you meet at an event is currently available only with purchases that originate in the app.
The full integration of both the web and mobile event platforms is scheduled for early 2019.
