About The Event
Join our community table. Meet your neighbors. No plus-one required. We're going back to The Land of Kush, the groundbreaking and nationally renowned vegan diner restaurant in the Seton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, MD and we’re trying something new. Vegan lovers and the vegan-curious can sit it with Mixolo for Meatless Monday with a healthy extra-cerebral additive. Plus-ones welcome, but never required with Mixolo. BYOB optional.
Dining with us will be a force of nature, author, thought leader, and neighbor, Armentha Mike Cruise, former CEO and founder of the Aspen Group, a wildly successful multi-million international human resource staffing and consulting firm.
Considered an “entrepreneurial maverick,” Mike Cruise has served on many prestigious boards, including Harvard University’s John F Kennedy School of Government and her beloved alma mater, Morgan State University, and has been lauded with honors and awards for her business prowess and advocacy for eliminating barriers for minorities and women in the workforce, one Fortune 50 at a time. She has conquered all forms of media, including film.
Mike Cruise is an activist and sage on the topic of wealth creation among underrepresented communities. She’ll be sharing insights from her book “Awakened Through the Passage: Using History to Influence Wealth Creation for Present and Future Generations Passage.” In the book, she uses historical perspectives from great African civilizations as a “foundation and legacy to influence wealth creation in mind, body, spirit and generational wealth to empower African-American youth. “
At Mixolo, we want to continue to bring you thought-provoking topics and out-of-the-box events. All are welcome at our community table, regardless of race, ethnicity or life experience. When we come together, without bias, our perceived differences shrink and we find the commonalities in what we hope for our loved ones and our posterity. At The Land of Kush, conversations are encouraged. Even hard ones.
