About The Event

Join us as we bid a fond farewell to the Summer with a waterfront celebration featuring live music, creative cuisine, and whimsical cocktails. For our do-good foodies, you’ll be delighted to know that a portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to the “Save the Crane” campaign at Baltimore Museum of Industry (BMI).

Chef’s Expressions’ Summer Soiree is back for its 6th year! Each year they mark summer’s unofficial exit with a celebration of well, summer, and change making organizations.

Bid farewell to summer with new connections and familiar Mixolo solo-friendly hosts, Chef’s Expressions AND the Baltimore Museum of Industry.

Think it’s too soon to celebrate the end of summer? It’s never too soon to plan a party. Time flies. We don’t want you to miss any of it! And you’re going to love the view.

About BMI and the “Save the Crane” campaign:

Perhaps you’ve spotted the 100-foot crane that graces the entrance of the Baltimore Museum of Industry, a “safe haven" for historical and cutting-edge innovation. They celebrate and preserve our industrial legacy. This tall symbol is elevated, literally, to the ranks of maritime artifacts typically heralded on this beautiful 5-acre waterfront campus of a former oyster cannery. It is the “gateway to the BMI experience.”

From the BMI website: “Built in 1942 and dubbed a “whirley crane” for its ability to turn 360 degrees, this Bethlehem Steel Clyde Model 17 DE 90 crane was instrumental in Bethlehem Steel’s prolific World War II shipbuilding effort.”

You’ll want to spend time here. The immersive and interactive exhibits and impressive artifacts will excite and inspire you. Your inner child is welcome, too.
