Join Mixolo, the solo-friendly social network, for an immersive and mind-bending experience at D.C.’s newest museum.
ARTECHOUSE (Art+Tech+House) is one of Washington, D.C.’s coolest new venues. It’s a museum. It’s an experience. It’s even a cocktail bar. Mostly it’s a futuristic arts space with immersive exhibits offered in a convivial environment.
Mixolo aims to be the “going out app” for solo adventurers and we can’t think of a better place to expand Mixolo’s DC options. For a limited number of eligible Mixolo app users, on Saturday, July 27, the fun is on us at ARTECHOUSE DC! #noplusonerequired
The current exhibit, Infinite Space, is by Refik Anadol, an award-winning Turkish-born artist based in Los Angeles. Anadol’s work features the mind-bending Infinity Room, an installation that, according to the ARTECHOUSE website, “Invites visitors to open their senses to the endless transformation and infinite possibilities at the intersection of man and machine."

The exhibition features 9 installations powered by light, sound and projections. Using algorithms and millions of data points, Anadol has created an experience that feels limitless, using data from sources such as human memories, photographs of Mars, cultural archives and sea surface activity. Vice News raves that the Infinity Room, one of the featured installations within the exhibit, “Looks like you’ve just stepped into some kind of otherworldly portal or cosmic gateway, as the swirls, curls, and linear forms cause the walls to melt away.”

Anadol’s exhibit is a great fit for Mixolo’s first visit to ARTECHOUSE, says Josh Feldman, the Group Sales, Meetings and Tourism Manager for the art space. His favorite part of the experience is seeing the glow and awe in visitors’ eyes as they enjoy exhibits for the first time, or return for a new transformative, immersive experience!
Explore Infinite Space and be part of an experience in which tens of thousands of visitors have already been immersed! The goal of ARTECHOUSE “Is to create an innovative, new-age arts destination...with a mission to inspire, educate, and empower the creation of new, experiential and exploratory art form.”
